12 Days of Thrill – One Journey of a Lifetime
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 : Cha Am to Saiyok (approx.270km/6.0hour)
Our journey begins at the EnduroTours headquarters in Cha Am. Engines roar to life as we head westward into lush valleys and winding trails. Passing the Kaenkrachan Dam and climbing forest tracks, we cross into the wild beauty of Sai Yok National Park. Here, limestone cliffs rise above the river, caves hide ancient secrets, and the jungle hums with life. As the day winds down, we share our first dinner together in the heart of Sai Yok, under a canopy of stars.
Day 2 : Saiyok to Put Toi (approx.220km/7.0hour)
We kick off the day riding narrow jungle trails before reaching an awe-inspiring suspension bridge, where normally only pedestrians cross. Balancing our bikes across the swaying span is pure adrenaline – the kind of adventure you never forget.
Just beyond lies the historic Hellfire Pass, where we stop to walk through the haunting railway cutting carved by WWII prisoners of war. It is a powerful moment of reflection in the midst of our journey.
From here, the trail dives back into wilderness. We ride through the dark, hand-hewn Tam Doktor Poon Tunnel, then load our bikes onto a local ferry for a serene crossing of the vast Srinakarin reservoir. On the far side, hidden deep in the forest, we visit the Lauda Air Memorial flight 004 year 1991, a quiet shrine marking the tragic crash site – a humbling pause in nature’s silence.
By evening, we roll into Putt-Toi, where dinner and the mountains close the curtain on another unforgettable day of adventure.
Day 3 : Put Toi to Tak (approx.360km/7.0hour)
We leave the remote village of Putt-Toi behind and follow rugged trails through jungle valleys and over mountain ridges that mark the borderlands.
The ride is pure adventure – red dirt tracks, bamboo forests, and river crossings that keep both rider and machine alive with energy.As the day unfolds, the landscape opens into rolling hills and farmland, with small villages scattered along the way. By afternoon, we descend into the historic town of Tak, set on the banks of the Ping River.
Known for its ancient temples and vibrant night markets, Tak offers the perfect mix of culture and comfort after a long day on the trail.Here, the adventure slows for a moment – a riverside dinner, the hum of local life, and the promise of even higher mountains ahead.
Day 4 : Tak to Mae Sariang (approx.300km/6.5hour)
This is one of the great rides of northern Thailand. The route twists through endless mountain passes, with more than a thousand bends carved into the jungle slopes. Mae Sariang awaits, a peaceful riverside town with teakwood houses, hill tribe markets, and a slow rhythm that feels worlds away. Here, we taste authentic northern cuisine and rest our bodies for the challenges ahead.
Day 5 : Mae Sariang to Chiang Mai (approx.280km/6.0hour)
Today’s ride is pure thrill: the world-famous Mae Hong Son Loop. Legendary among riders, it serves up tight curves, high ridges, and views that take your breath away. We pass Karen and Hmong villages, stopping at waterfalls and viewpoints that showcase the best of the north. By evening, we roll into Chiang Mai – Thailand’s northern capital – alive with energy, history, and vibrant night markets.
Day 6 : Rest Day Chiang Mai
After five days of intense riding, today is for recharging. Wander the old city’s temples, indulge in a Thai massage, explore bustling markets, or simply relax by the pool. For those still hungry for adrenaline, optional side trips include jungle zip-lining, mountain hikes, or even whitewater rafting. The night is free to discover Chiang Mai’s famous street food scene.
Day 7 : Chiang Mai to Phuaa (approx.320km/8.0hour)
We leave the city behind and head east into wilder terrain. Endless switchbacks take us over misty mountains and along ridgelines where the road feels like it floats in the clouds. By afternoon, we descend into the remote valleys of Nan Province – one of Thailand’s best-kept secrets. Phuua greets us with quiet charm, where we rest in a family-run lodge surrounded by rice paddies and mountains.
Day 8 : Phuaa to Phu Sai Dao (approx.290km/7.0hour)
This stage takes us into the highlands of Uttaradit and Phitsanulok, riding through remote villages and hidden forest reserves. Our destination is Phu Sai Dao National Park, a rugged land of pine forests, waterfalls, and high cliffs. This off-the-beaten-path wonder is a rider’s dream, where the roads twist through dramatic scenery and wildlife still roams free. We overnight near the park, embraced by nature’s silence.
Day 9 : Phu Sai Dao to Petchabun (approx.170km/5.5hour)
The journey continues southward into the green mountains of Phetchabun. This region is known as the “Swiss Alps of Thailand,” with rolling hills, misty mornings, and cool mountain air. The ride takes us past coffee plantations and hidden temples perched high on cliffs. In the evening, we stay in a mountain resort, where the sunset paints the horizon in gold and crimson.
Day 10 : Petchabun to Dan Chang (approx.360km/7.0hour)
This day is all about wide-open riding. We descend from the mountains and follow backroads that weave through sugarcane fields, farmland, and rural villages. The pace is relaxed, but the sense of discovery never ends. Dan Chang, a quiet town surrounded by nature, is our stop for the night. Here, we enjoy a simple Thai feast and prepare for the grand finale of our adventure.
Day 11 : Dan Chang to Kanchanaburi (approx.230km/6.0hour)
We ride into the storied province of Kanchanaburi – where history, nature, and adventure collide. Our route leads past the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, through lush jungle, and along hidden river trails. We pause at Hellfire Pass, where history’s echoes whisper from the rocks, before continuing into Kanchanaburi town. The evening is spent by the river, celebrating the journey we’ve shared.
Day 12 : Kanchanaburi to Cha Am (approx.200km/4.5hour)
The final leg brings us full circle. Riding through the scenic hills of Suan Phueng, we soak in the last views of Thailand’s rugged landscapes – rolling hills, forests, and farmland glowing in the sun. By afternoon, we return to our headquarters in Cha Am. Engines fall silent, but the memories of twelve days, countless roads, and endless horizons remain forever.
Within these 12 days, we have conquered endless gravel roads, crossed rivers, climbed mountains, passed through national parks and wildlife sanctuaries – and even ridden through hidden jungle villages of displaced communities from Myanmar, far beyond the reach of ordinary tourists.The journey may end after 12 days, but the memories will last a lifetime.
